Abstract
ABSTRACT This study presents the effects of real estate agent effort on single-family home sale prices using five proxies for agent effort. The analysis of nearly 19,000 homes sold in Chatham County, Georgia, from 2008 to 2021 identifies a positive relationship between agent effort and sale prices. These comprehensive findings align with previous empirical research considering fewer agent effort variables. Additionally, the degree of positive sentiment in the agent’s public comments increased sales prices.
