Abstract
O artigo trata da relação entre imigração brasileira na cidade do Porto e a constituição de relações de poder através do controle de ofertas de possíveis relacionamentos afetivos por alguns imigrantes brasileiros em condições de atuar como intermediários entre as redes familiares portuguesas a que têm acesso e os imigrantes homens e pobres sobre os quais têm alguma influência.
