Abstract

The author describes a sample of Aenigmatophyllum gothanii from the Slava Ruša quarry in north Dobrogea (Romania). The age is Late Cretaceous. It is emphasised that this specimen counts as a great rarity in Europe. Some considerations about the present connections with Lyonothamnus and the phytogeographical importance of the discovery are also underlined.
