Abstract

The design of asynchronous logic circuits is an important consideration in digital systems engineering. Until recently the main theoretical source on this subject was an original paper by Huffman (1954). However, within the last few years considerable advancements have been made in this subject which have, as yet, not reached the textbooks or the design engineer. It is the objective of this paper to describe in detail, those aspects of asynchronous logic theory, which appear to offer useful design techniques to the logical systems engineer.
