Abstract

Adsorption interaction of Turquoise Blue dye from aqueous solution onto acid and base surface modified activated carbons prepared from Pterocarpus Marsupium barks using microwave and phosphoric acid were investigated. Batch method adsorptions were carried out. Influences of the parameters such as agitation time, initial dye concentrations and temperature on adsorption were studied. Equilibrium data were fitted with Langmuir, Freundlich, Tempkin and Dubinin-Raduskevich isotherms. Best describing isotherms were ordered based on R2 values.
