Abstract
The adsorption behavior of dioctyldimethylammonium chloride at water/ hexane interface has been studied by measuring the interfacial tension as a function of temperature and pressure at various bulk concentrations. By applying the thermodynamics of adsorption at interfaces to the experimental results, the thermodynamic quantity changes associated with adsorption and the interfacial density of dioctyldimethylammonium chloride have been evaluated.
