Abstract

The urinary excretion of 17-ketosteroids and 17-ketogenic steroids has been studied in 100 subjects (50 hypertensive and 50 nonhypertensive), using a double-blind technique. The data of this study indicate that there is no significant difference in the urinary excretion of 17-ketosteroids and 17-ketogenic steroids by nonhypertensive and hypertensive patients. As has been noted previously, 2 there was also no significant difference in the influence of diuretics upon the excretion of steroids.
