Abstract
Abstract This chapter addresses environmental health issues related to the World Trade Center disaster, including asbestos, lead, particulate matter, polychlorinated biphenyls, and other hazards at the World Trade Center site. It describes specific hazards to workers and to children. It also addresses future needs, including follow-up assessment of those rescue and recovery workers, residents of lower Manhattan, and others exposed to this disaster.
