Abstract
S> In the preceding paper (Proc. Natl, Acad. Sci. U. S. existence of a vacuum state was used to exclude Fermi-Dirac fields with integer spin and Bose- Einstein fields of half-integer spin. In the addendum it is shown that while it is desirable to unify the treatment of all fields, the avoidance of explicit reference to commutation properties cannot be explicitly maintained. (L.T.W.)
