Abstract

The perfection of forensic examination activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan in detecting and investigating of environmental crimes requires theoretical justification matching the modern level of development of criminalistics and general theory of forensic examination that includes systematization of forms of use of special knowledge and development of scientific and methodological support of specific types of forensic-environmental examination. The chapter describes the main problems and perspectives of the development of forensic-ecological activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. To improve the effectiveness of forensic institutions, in the context of international experience in this area, it is proposed to unify the names of types of forensic environmental examinations, programs for additional professional education; to harmonize approaches to training forensic experts in environmental expert professions; to develop the quality management system, to carry out accreditation of forensic examinations institutions. Study of the international experience in the field of forensic environmental expert activity, joint development of its scientific and methodological support, implementation of promising approaches to the development of new types of forensic-environmental examination contribute to effective implementation of the integration function of international legal and human rights cooperation in this area.
