Abstract

The potentialities of using a 1- to 5-c antimonyyllium neutron source for activation analysis were lored. Determinations were made without chemical aration by following the gross decay of the irradisample, as well as by gamma spectrum measurements with a manual sweep, and an automatic sweep spectrometer. More than 12 elements were studied, alone and in mixtures. A simple irradiation chamber coupled with simple manipulations permits routing handling of the source with safety. Sensitivity values many elements were calculated for this method, g 5-, 15-, and 60-minute irradiation times. Some experimental sensitivity values are also reported. (auth)
