Abstract

We analyzed data from a comprehensive, systematically conducted diary study of one child's early lexical development to provide a comprehensive account of the acquisition of the plural morpheme. Correct forms and errors of both commission and omission were recorded from age 18 to 30 months, and all entries contained information about the quality of the produced utterance, the referent, the adult response, and the context.
