For example, macular atrophy, acquired cutis laxa, granulomatous slack skin and acrokeratoelastoidosis are generally accepted as acquired disorders of decreased elastic tissue. However, some acquired disorders of decreased elastic tissue reported recently have not been recognized widely, such as popular elastorrhexis, perifollicular elastolysis, white fibrous papulosis of the neck, pseudoxanthoma elasticum-like papillary dermal elastolysis, mid-dermal elastolysis. These disorders all have characteristic clinical and pathological manifestations. Key words: Elastic tissue; Acquired disorders of decreased elastic tissue
