Abstract

According to this study: Use of acid suppressants is associated with a 75% increase in the risk of intestinal tract colonization with multidrug-resistant microorganisms in both the community and health care settings.More prudent use of acid suppressants may help to reduce the risks of colonization with multidrug-resistant microorganisms.
