Abstract

Achromatic sensations for trichromatic mixtures were determined as a function of stimulus intensity with the spectral composition as a parameter. The result showed that the change in the achromatic locus with stimulus intensity was described in terms of a linear relation between the middleand long-wavelength components and of a nonlinear relation between the short- and longer-wavelength components.
