Abstract
As the main hospital for the whole of the Scottish Highlands, Raigmore Hospital has an enormous catchment area. With spectacular scenery - the Cairngorms is the main mountain range - and opportunities for all kinds of sport, the Highlands is an attractive target for tourists. But even in summer when the sun is shining, it can be very cold in the hills and the winter months bring freezing temperatures.
