Abstract

The severe service conditions of equipment in the Far North increase the intensity of its wear and the distance from the main production regions complicates and makes more expensive delivery of spare parts and materials for production of them in place. Under these conditions it is desirable to repair worn parts with a Simultaneous increase in their corrosion and wear resistance. Methods of plasma and gas flame spraying are widely used in the repair shops of Nizhnevartovsk for repair and strengthening of oil field equipment parts. The high hardness of the material of the strengthened surface causes a sharp reduction in productivity of machining of the repaired parts with cemented carbide and traditional abrasive tools and in some cases makes it impossible. The most promising method of acceleration of machining of repaired parts on existing metal cutting equipment is the use of tools of superhard materials [i].
