Abstract
AbstractA switching strategy for the A C chopper is presented. With this strategy, it is possible to control the phase angle of the output voltage, besides the possibility of controlling the output voltage magnitude. Furthermore, selected lower order harmonics can be eliminated. Profiles of switching angles of the proposed technique are given. Theoretical analysis of the performance of the A C chopper under this strategy along with experimental results verifying the analysis is detailed.
