Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine whether a single percutaneous needle based injection of an ionic liquid with various therapeutics could be used to ablate normal and tumor tissue, incite inflammation, retain chemotherapy drugs within the ablation zone and achieve uniform delivery of drugs within tissue.
