Abstract

Magnetic susceptibility of the Anderson lattice is derived using the hybridized-band Hamiltonian which follows from the Gutzwiller ansatz. It is found that the enhancement of the Wilson ratio may be expressed by the Landau parameter Fa0 = -1/(2L - 1) where L is the ƒ-level degeneracy. This is not sufficient for a ferromagnetic instability.
