Abstract

This article discusses the problem of «economic imperialism» as the desire of representatives of economic science to apply economic methodology to other socio-humanitarian sciences. A number of curious cases resulting from this have been analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the expansion of the economy into psychology. It has been established that such expansion, along with the enrichment of methodological tools, entails a number of negative consequences both in science and in psychological practice. It is proposed to neutralize the consequences of this expansion, including by reforming the current legislation.
