Abstract

The influence of such chemicals as actinomycin (AD), hydroxyurea (HU) and streptomycin (S) is well documented in the medical and biochemical literature. These chemicals are known to be inhibitors of plant growth [1, 2, 4] and α-naphthylacetic acid (NAA) simultaneously influences morphogenesis [e.g. 5]. However, there have been few reports of the changes in ultrastructure of plant cells following treatment with these chemicals.
