Abstract

This article, theoretically supported by the social-cultural theory and the communicative approach, discusses the role of the Internet as a privileged environment for interaction and language learning. Positive and negative points of the web are presented and the potentialities of the new technology for language learning are exemplified. The last part of the text presents a large variety of resources available on the net.
