Abstract

We present a Weeks-Chandler-Andersen (WCA) perturbative approach to the structure of liquid binary systems using a non-additive hard-sphere (NAHS) reference system. Consequently former doubts about the uniqueness of how to determine parameters when using an additive reference system are ruled out. We present results for strongly non-additive systems as some specially chosen metal alloys and a metal-molten salt solution; comparison with experimental data shows good agreement.
