Abstract

This paper deals with characteristics of the wave pressure distribution on a bottom-seated hemisphere obtained by model experiments under regular waves. The obtained results are summarized as follows;(1) The dimensionless maximum wave pressure decreases in a region of the head of the hemisphere.(2) The maximum wave pressure increases almost linearly with the increase of the wave period T when the wave height is constant.(3) The maximum wave pressure decreases at the circumference of the top pore of the perforated-hemisphere.
