Abstract

Investors interested in media stocks face two challenges: understanding the myriad changes affecting the industry and knowing how to value the companies competing in such an environment. Trends toward global consumerism and global consolidation and advances in distribution technology will create new markets for some companies. For those who wish to capitalize on these opportunities, the key is to identify a catalyst that will cause the stock to approach its intrinsic value and to wait for the market to realize that value. This presentation comes from The Media Industry conference held in New York, New York, on January 31 - February 1, 1996.
