Abstract

The theory of generalized thermoelasticity with two temperatures is employed to study the problem of two-dimensional disturbances in thermo-microstretch elastic solid under the effect of the magnetic field and rotation. The formulation of the problem applied in the context of three-phase-lag model, Green–Naghdi theory with energy dissipation and coupled theory. The general solutions for field quantities are obtained using the method of normal mode analysis. Both numerical and graphical results are discussed quantitatively with respect to various parameters embedded in the system. The results indicate that the effect of rotation, magnetic field, two-temperature parameter, Coriolis acceleration and vertical displacement is very pronounced. The results of earlier workers have been reduced as particular cases from the present study.
