Abstract

Dynamic resource management is a typical characteristic of cloud services; it is this dynamic characteristic that permits the multiplexing of physical resources in cloud. However, it's also a great challenge to make a dynamic cloud transparent to customers and to permit customers' participating in the dynamic cloud resource management, which are essential to trusted clouds. TCSPA provides a guide on how to make a dynamic cloud more trusted; it takes the dynamic characteristics of cloud as the main factor in its design. TCSPA is based on Trusted Computing technology, and its main contribution is that it provides a mechanism by which customers can acquire the configuration information of the physical platforms which serve them, and determine whether they conform to the customers' expectation; in addition, TCSPA permits customers to control the configuration and organization of physical platforms in clouds, so as to make clouds more trusted by customers. In spite of the increasing transparency to customers and control capability authorized to customers, TCSPA brings no loss to cloud service providers.
