Abstract

The circuit described has been installed in a medical linear accelerator to operate the high voltage circuit interlock whenever arcing occurs in the high voltage pulse forming network (PFN) or should free-running occur in the trigger pulse generator for the main thyratron. The PFN charging pulses are monitored by a 10 Omega resistor placed in series with the high voltage power supply capacitor and fed directly into the circuit.
