Abstract
A CoII coordination polymer, {[Co4(CIPA)2(μ3-OH)2(H2O)4]·4H2O}n (1), based on a tri-carboxylate ligand (H3CIPA=5-acetyloxybenzene −1,3-dicarboxylic acid) has been obtained and characterized structurally. Compound 1 displays a two-dimensional (2D) framework based on [Co4] clusters. Thermogravimetric analysis suggests high thermal stability of compound 1, and magnetic properties measurement indicates that antiferromagnetic couplings exist between neighboring CoII centers.
