Abstract

Professional medical societies serve many important roles from continuing medical education, publishing consensus statements and guidelines, providing opportunities for professional networking, engaging in political advocacy, and more. Early career engagement is a focus of various medical societies.1,2 However, there is a paucity of information on the fellow level of engagement and attitudes toward professional societies. In this survey study, we seek to gauge the attitudes and opinions of fellows in training toward professional medical societies as well as political advocacy awareness and interest.
