Abstract
A quantitative survey aims to investigate common development and management practices for the Healthcare application domain by gathering industrial experiences from software practitioners in the UK. The results indicated a number of management process areas that were most problematic, especially where collaborative work between end-users and developers were required. The survey also aims to explain the impact on and challenges to the World's largest computer program, the National Health Service's (NHS's) National Program for IT (NPf IT), on the UK Healthcare market.
