Abstract
Dermatology services in the UK are under pressure, with increasing numbers of potential skin cancer referrals and limited staffing. New models of care are being explored to maximize the efficient use of existing staff. We report the use of a superclinic (SC), which has aimed to improve efficiency of service delivery for patients with suspected skin cancer at a university hospital. The benefit of an SC model allows trainees to see a higher number of lesions and the focus is not only on increasing capacity, but also on education for juniors. The SC has been an efficient way of reviewing high numbers of patients to try to match the increasing demand.
