Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between supervision contextual anxiety, supervisory working alliance, and supervision satisfaction among counseling psychologists. The study involved 108 counseling psychologists and utilized a questionnaire survey method. The research tools included the "Supervision Contextual Anxiety Scale," "Supervisory Working Alliance Inventory," and "Supervision Satisfaction Scale." Statistical data processing was conducted using Pearson correlation analysis, multiple stepwise regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results revealed that: (1) Higher levels of supervision contextual anxiety among counseling psychologists were associated with lower supervisory working alliance, with "assessment anxiety" and "relationship anxiety" showing significant negative correlations with supervisory working alliance. Contextual anxiety was negatively correlated with satisfaction, and both assessment anxiety and relationship anxiety were negatively correlated with satisfaction. There was a correlation between supervisory working alliance and satisfaction. (2) "Working alliance" and "relationship anxiety" together predicted 47.7% of the variance in "supervision satisfaction." (3) "Supervisory working alliance" had a complete mediating effect on the relationship between "supervision contextual anxiety" and "supervision satisfaction."
