Abstract

The purpose of this study was to figure out the problems associated with public pedestrian roads, derive the planning element and suggest the improvement measures to enhance publicity. For this purpose, this study focused on the public pedestrian path of the mixed-use housing which was constructed for a large-scale block unit development. The architectural meaning of the publicity, the utilisation of the pedestrian road, and the user satisfaction were examined. The study was conducted by investigating the previous research and literature related to studies, and carrying out drawing analysis and field observation studies of public walking paths of commercial complexes, and user satisfaction surveys. Through this process, the results were obtained as follows. First, the architectural ‘connection’ was the most important topic.
