Abstract

HAPS (High Altitude Platform Station), which is a stratosphere platform around 20Km altitude, cellular communication service makes it possible to directly communicate among ordinary land cellular phones. HAPS is also a promising system for service area expansions as well as reliable communication methods at various natural disasters. HAPS communication system is composed of service links which provide communications between HAPS and land cellular phones and a feeder link which establishes a communication between HAPS and a base station (Gateway). The authors proposed a System that performs spatial multiplexing at the same frequency for effectively use the frequency of the feeder link. It was shown that the communication quality can be greatly improved by applying interference canceller technology to the forward link from Multi-Gateway to HAPS. We have to improve the quality of communication by reducing the interference at Reverse-Link as same as Forward-Link in order to apply M-GS. In this paper, we propose a new transmission interference canceller technology for the reverse link from HAPS to multi-GW, and clarify the improvement effect of communication quality.
