Abstract

As a knowledge tool, the knowledge organization system (KOS) plays an important role in knowledge service in the fields of information resource organization, science & technology information analysis, press and publication, engineering technology, etc. To address the automation problem in the screening and optimization of domain-specific information resources and the enrichment of KOS, this paper proposes the self-adaptive building theory for KOS, defines its technical components, and designs the iterative engineering thinking in the building process, with empirical research carried out under the condition of simplified process in the field of medical imaging. The relevant results demonstrate that the information resources screened after iteration and KOS built have better quality, and it is feasible to build the self-adpative KOS in theory and engineering.
