Abstract

Abstract Stones used in the construction of impressed ware Neolithic, wattle and daub buildings from Calabria, Italy, are examined. The varieties of rocks and minerals are identified as well as their particular functions. An empirical site catchment analysis investigates the procurement of stones by the Neolithic builders. Finally, rock and mineral utilization is compared on inter‐structural and inter‐settlement levels.
