Abstract

A state-space approach to estimating intermodulation distortion in bandpass Gm-C filters with fully balanced, weakly nonlinear transconductors is introduced. It results in compact analytic expressions applicable to Gm-C filters of any order. For verifying the theory, two Gm-C filters with fully balanced weakly nonlinear transconductors have been designed using Cadence. They have been simulated in SpectreS as well as modeled and simulated in Simulink. Theory and simulation results are found in good agreement
