Abstract

A compact nickel-ferrite dual-band dielectric resonator antenna built on a microstrip substrate is proposed as a possible candidate for wireless communication systems applications at the microwave band. The antenna properties are investigated using Ansoft HFSS that implements the finite element method (FEM). The ceramic material was prepared through Pechini method in a process involving high temperatures. A prototype was built and measured. Simulated and experimental results are presented and discussed.
