Abstract

No presente artigo pretendemos discutir algumas questões estéticas tratadas no ensaio "A escrava que não é Isaura" (1924), de Mário de Andrade. Partimos de uma análise do conceito de modernidade e de modernismo na obra de Charles Baudelaire para melhor analisarmos algumas particularidades do Modernismo Brasileiro, de modo a contextualizar a defesa do verso livre e do conceito de harmonismo e de simultaneidade no ensaio do poeta de Pauliceia desvairada.
