Abstract

The increasing dependence on mission critical applications requires more stable and persistent services, but the existence of dishonest nodes' services could damage the correctness and availability in open networks. Meanwhile, how to efficiently obtain the services from high dependable entities should be considered as well. The existing trust models in open networks ignore a fact that object itself can provide trust information for services. Based on the subjective logic trust model, this paper proposes a service trust model, which involves passive trust of object and combines direct trust and recommendation trust. Furthermore, this paper presents a method called passive trust feedback to avoid the deceit of malicious nodes. Our proposed model expands the range of service source via passive trust of object, which makes access paths to resource flexible and various. The feasibility and rationality of our trust model are further evaluated through extensive simulation experiments.
