The present study aims to conduct a scientometric analysis of the Journal of Contemporary Archival Studies (JCAS) to understand its scholarly impact and publication trends. By examining bibliometric indicators such as year-wise publication trends, authorship patterns, institutional affiliations, geographic distribution, and language use, this study provides valuable insights into the journal's growth and scholarly contributions. Data was collected from the JCAS archive covering the period from its inception in 2014 to 2024. The findings highlight a steady growth in publications, a dominance of single-author contributions, and a broad international reach. This scientometric profile can assist researchers, librarians, and academic institutions in identifying research gaps and potential collaborations. Trends in research on dietary behavior and cardiovascular disease from 2002 to 2022: a bibliometric analysis.

Dietary behaviors and cardiovascular disease are two major health issues that have attracted a lot of attention from researchers worldwide. In this study, we aimed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the publication trends, authorship patterns, institutional affiliations, country/region contributions, journal outlets, highly cited documents, and keyword clusters in the field of dietary behaviors and cardiovascular disease research over the past two decades. We conducted a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed articles published from 2002 to 2022 in the Web of Science Core Collection database. We extracted and analyzed data on the annual publication volume, authorship patterns, institutional affiliations, country/region contributions, journal outlets, highly cited documents, and keyword clusters using bibliometric methods and visualization tools. Our study analyzed 3,904 articles, including 702 reviews and 3,202 research articles. The results revealed a continuous increase in the number of publications in this field over the past two decades. The top 10 authors, institutions, and countries/regions with the highest publication output were identified, indicating the leading contributors to this field. Moreover, the most frequently cited documents and highly clustered keywords were identified, providing insights into the research themes and topics in this field. Our study provides a comprehensive analysis of the publication trends, authorship patterns, institutional affiliations, country/region contributions, journal outlets, highly cited documents, and keyword clusters in the field of dietary behaviors and cardiovascular disease research over the past two decades. The findings provide valuable information for researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to understand the research landscape, identify research gaps, and develop future research directions in this field.

Circular Economy and Sustainable Technology in Technical and Vocational Education and Training: A Bibliometric Analysis

The integration of circular economy and sustainable technology in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) is essential to foster environmentally conscious practitioners who are able to prepare the workforce for sustainable development. Despite the growing interest in circular economy and sustainable technology, a comprehensive understanding of the research landscape in the context of the growth of TVET education is still lacking. This research maps the scholarly output, identifies key themes and assesses global research collaborations in the integration of circular economy and sustainable technology in TVET. A bibliometric analysis using the Scopus database was conducted, focusing on publication trends, authorship patterns, keyword co-occurrence, and geographic distribution. Bibliometric analysis revealed a growing interest in circular economy and sustainable technology in TVET education, with a significant increase in publications over the past decade. Prolific authors and collaborative networks were identified and thematic clusters clarified core research areas, contributing to the knowledge base needed for sustainable workforce development. These findings emphasize the importance of circular economy and sustainable technology integration in TVET education and highlight the need for continued interdisciplinary collaboration. This bibliometric analysis serves as a valuable resource for educators, researchers and policy makers, guiding future efforts to increase the global impact of circular economy and sustainable technology in TVET education.

Mapping the trends of peer-reviewed research on platform switching - A bibliometric analysis.

To conduct a bibliometric analysis of peer-reviewed literature concerning the platform switching (PS) concept in dental implants, assessing publication trends, influential authors, leading journals, and prevalent research themes. Bibliometric analysis based on peer-reviewed publications retrieved from major scientific databases. A comprehensive literature search was conducted across five electronic databases: PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane, and ScienceDirect, covering publications from 2000 to 2025. Search terms included "platform switching," "dental implants," "marginal bone loss," and "bibliometric analysis." Inclusion criteria comprised peer-reviewed original articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical studies focusing on PS. Bibliometric indicators, including publication counts, citation analysis, authorship patterns, and keyword co-occurrence, were analyzed using bibliometric tools. Descriptive bibliometric statistics were applied, including publication trends, citation frequencies, and network visualizations for keyword co-occurrence and authorship patterns. The analysis revealed a substantial increase in PS-related publications after 2005, peaking in 2015. Influential contributors include Lazzara, Porter, and Atieh. The Journal of Periodontology, Clinical Oral Implants Research, and the Journal of Clinical Medicine were identified as leading journals in this domain. Prominent research themes focus on marginal bone preservation, implant-abutment interface design, and the biomechanical implications of PS. This bibliometric analysis demonstrates a growing scholarly interest in platform switching within implant dentistry. The concentration of research within specific journals and among a limited number of authors highlights the need for broader dissemination and diversification in future investigations.

Trends and transitions in ledipasvir studies: A bibliometric assessment of a groundbreaking hepatitis C virus treatment

This study aimed to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of global research on ledipasvir from 2014 to May 2025, focusing on trends in research output, citation impact, authorship patterns, and thematic evolution. A bibliometric analysis was performed using 419 scientific articles from 199 sources indexed in Scopus. Data were extracted based on publication year, authorship, citations, keywords, and institutional affiliations. Visualization tools such as VOSviewer and Bibliometrix were employed to analyze co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence, and thematic trends. Inclusion criteria prioritized peer-reviewed English articles with complete bibliographic metadata. The analysis revealed a peak in publication output in 2018 (92 articles), followed by a gradual decline. The United States, Egypt, and Japan emerged as leading contributors, with Gilead Sciences and academic institutions like Cairo University playing pivotal roles. High citation rates (average of 39.57 citations per document) underscored the drug's ongoing relevance. Keyword analysis highlighted a shift from early clinical and pharmacokinetic studies to topics such as adherence, liver transplantation, and COVID-19 implications. International collaboration was robust, with 21.48% of publications involving multi-country teams. Ledipasvir research has evolved significantly, reflecting its foundational role in HCV treatment. Despite declining publication numbers, the drug's scientific impact remains strong, driven by international collaboration and diverse thematic exploration. Future research should focus on comparative efficacy, long-term outcomes, and resistance mechanisms to further inform clinical practice.

Research trends in Sukuk studies: A bibliometric analysis of global academic publications

Demand for ethical and Sharia-compliant investment instruments has driven substantial academic interest in Sukuk, a key component of Islamic finance offering alternatives to conventional bonds. The paper aims to analyze research trends in the field of Sukuk through a comprehensive bibliometric and content analysis of publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science from 1990 to 2024. Relationships between authorship patterns, institutional affiliations, geographical distribution, applied methodologies, and key findings are examined to identify emerging research trajectories in the field of Sukuk. The analysis covers the evolution of research topics over 33 years, assessing annual achievements, influential articles, keyword dynamics, and topical changes. The paper uses a hybrid method, including bibliometric and content analysis and a systematic literature review (SLR) using the PRISMA methodology, which ensures a high degree of scientific validity. The findings marked growth in Sukuk-related research in the past decade, with growing attention to sustainable finance (Environmental, Social, and Governance Sukuk), green Sukuk, and digitalization. Thematic mapping identifies five major research clusters in Scopus and six in Web of Science, emphasizing investment efficiency, regulatory challenges, Sharia compliance, and market integration. Additionally, the crucial impact of Sukuk on risk management and resilience was revealed during crises while uncovering ongoing gaps such as low secondary market liquidity, insufficient standardization, and limited cross-border compatibility. The application of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) in online shopping research has gained significant attention from scholars aiming to understand consumer behavior in digital retail environments. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis to systematically explore the literature on UTAUT in the context of online shopping. By examining bibliographic data from academic databases, the research investigates publication trends, authorship patterns, institutional affiliations, geographical distributions, document types, journal publications, citation patterns, keyword usage, bibliographic coupling networks, and key thematic formations. Using VOSviewer Version 1.16.20, the study identifies key research trends, influential authors and institutions, geographical hotspots, prominent journal publications, highly cited articles, frequently used keywords, and bibliographic coupling networks among authors, sources, themes, and countries. These findings contribute to shaping the application of UTAUT in online shopping. By synthesizing and visualizing these insights, this bibliometric analysis enhances understanding of how UTAUT has been utilized and studied in the online shopping domain, offering valuable perspectives for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.

This research will conduct a bibliometric and content analysis of presenteeism from 2000 to 2023. It aims to investigate publication trends, authorship patterns, and significant publications by using presenteeism conceptualizations, measurements, determinants, consequences, and interventions analysis. The study provides valuable insights for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers about understanding and addressing workplace presenteeism issues. The research involved conducting a bibliometric study to analyze presenteeism publication trends, authorship patterns, and significant publications. It also explored the evolution of presenteeism research over time, identifying contributing countries, institutions, and writers. The interdisciplinary nature of presenteeism research was emphasized, covering occupational health, psychology, management, and public health. The researchers have used VOS Viewer and R Studio (biblioshiny) for this study. The study identified several elements influencing presenteeism, such as health issues, work-related factors, organizational culture, and individual characteristics. It further examined the impact of organizational policies, leadership support, employee assistance programs, and health promotion activities in reducing absenteeism and enhancing employee well-being. These findings highlight the importance of addressing these factors to mitigate presenteeism issues and promote a healthier work environment. This research identified deficiencies in presenteeism research and provided recommendations for future investigations in this field. It emphasized the need for standardized measures and methodologies, longitudinal studies to understand causality, and industry- and population-specific interventions. These insights can guide future research directions and interventions to address presenteeism issues in a rapidly changing work and research landscape.

A bibliometric analysis of mobile health in breast cancer care: trends, impact, and future directions.

Breast cancer is a significant global health concern among women. Digital health technologies, particularly mobile health (mHealth) with mobile devices and apps, have the potential to tackle challenges in breast cancer treatment. However, a comprehensive understanding of mHealth applications in breast cancer care remains limited. We retrieved 615 articles published between 1991 and 2025 from the Web of Science database and performed a bibliometric analysis using CiteSpace V6.4.R1. The analysis included a detailed review of publication trends, geographic distribution, institutional contributions, authorship patterns, and keyword analysis. The USA was the leading country in terms of publication volume, followed by PRChina and Australia. Research hotspots included "breast cancer", "quality of life", and "physical activity". Initially, research focused on screening and diagnosis, but it has since shifted towards emerging technologies like mobile apps and patient-centered care, including a focus on patient-reported outcomes. This analysis reveals the trends, impacts, and future directions of mHealth in breast cancer care. It can help researchers identify research gaps and guide healthcare providers in implementing mHealth solutions to improve patient outcomes.

Bibliometric analysis of global research in palliative care for cervical cancer

ObjectiveThe present study aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of global research in palliative care for cervical cancer, providing insights into publication trends, authorship patterns, influential journals, and thematic concentrations.MethodsA bibliometric analysis approach was employed using metadata extracted from Scopus spanning 2000-2023. The search utilized main terms related to cervical cancer and palliative care. Data analysis and visualization were performed using the Bibliometrix R Package’s web app Biblioshiny and VOSviewer software.ResultsThe study identified 2,492 publications on palliative care for cervical cancer, with a notable peak in 2021. The analysis revealed a diverse publication landscape, encompassing primarily articles. Citation analysis showed a staggering 63,994 citations. The most relevant journals were The Lancet Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, and International Journal of Gynecological Cancer. The study also highlighted influential authors, institutions, and countries, with Harvard University, the University of Toronto, and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center leading in publications.DiscussionThe findings reflected a growing interest in palliative care for cervical cancer, marked by increasing publications over the years. However, the analysis indicated limited international collaborations, with research efforts concentrated in high-income countries. Thematic areas include surgery, palliative care, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and quality of life. Thus, further collaborations and research in developing countries are needed.ConclusionThis bibliometric analysis showcased a comprehensive overview of the global research landscape on palliative care for cervical cancer. The study identified trends, key contributors, and thematic concentrations, offering valuable insights for future research directions and enhancing palliative care services. Addressing the identified gaps, fostering international collaborations, and directing research efforts toward developing countries can contribute to the advancement of palliative care for cervical cancer globally.

Bibliometrics and knowledge map analysis of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia

Through bibliometric analysis, we aim to comprehensively understand the research dynamics in this field, reveal key scientific research achievements and breakthrough discoveries, and provide valuable reference and guidance for future research directions. Utilizing the Web of Science, we retrieved the literature pertaining to ultrasonics-guided regional anesthesiology (1994–2022). CiteSpace and VOSviewer were used for bibliometric and knowledge mapping analysis. Our examination encompassed publication trends, authorship patterns, institutional contributions, frequently occurring keywords, keyword clustering, and emerging terminology trends. Of the 570 papers reviewed, there was a rising trend in publications each year. The main keywords in regional anesthesia were ultrasound guidance, nerve, analgesia, and pain score. Key research areas were regional anesthesia, ultrasound guidance, approach, pain score, and plane block. The U.S. led in research. Stanford University, University of Toronto, and Cork University Hospital were central institutions. Chan V was the top author with 24 articles, while Marhofer P was the most cited at 150 times. Regional anesthesia and pain medicine were the predominant journal in both publications and citations. In conclusion, research in this field consistently grew yearly, and visualization showcased trends in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. These visuals provided key bibliometric insights, helping researchers further explore and understand this domain.

A Scientometric Study on Yoga Research during 1989-2018

Yoga is a mind-body exercise. Yogic breathing is a unique method for balancing the autonomic nervous system and influencing psychological and stress-related disorders. Yoga breathing (pranayama) can rapidly bring the mind to the present moment and reduce stress. This article presents the highly cited papers from yoga research output using different scientometric approach both quantitative and qualitative methods. Scientometric data for the study has been collected from Web of Science online database. A search was conducted with the phrase ‘yoga’ in the address field. An analysis of 4090 publications published by scientists during 1989 to 2018 and indexed by Web of Science online Database indicates that the publication output. Most of the prolific authors are from the highly productive institutions. This work is to provide a profile of Research Publication at global level. This includes tracking the number of papers, scatter of papers over journals, and its effect on publication output, authors’ institutional affiliations and authorship patterns.

Twenty-one years of the Journal of Public Procurement: a performance and content review using bibliometric analysis

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of publications in the Journal of Public Procurement (JoPP) from 2001 to 2021. The study provides insights into trends in publications, prominent publication themes, influential authors, institutions and countries that have prominently been associated with the journal’s journey.Design/methodology/approachThe study used a bibliometric and content analysis approach using the VOSviewer software to develop insights into the trends, structures and patterns in publications in the journal. Data for the study was extracted from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases.FindingsThe study established that there has been consistent growth in the number of papers published by the journal within the last two decades. Yearly average publication by the journal stood at 14 papers between 2002 and 2009, with the annual average rising to approximately 18 papers between 2010 and 2021. The trend in publication has been established and identified the influential citations and contributors to the journal. The study has also clustered out the thematic structures in journal’s publications. The prominent and emerging research issues in the public procurement environment needing immediate research attention have been highlighted.Research limitations/implicationsThe study is a one-journal bibliometric analysis and subsequently ignores publications on public procurement from other journals.Social implicationsThe findings of this study highlight to the research community the contributions of JoPP to the public procurement discourse and present important avenues for future research agenda.Originality/valueTo the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is the first bibliometric study for the JoPP, providing detailed bibliometric indexes of the 21-year period of the journal’s publications. The study comprehensively analyses the contributions in the JoPP to assess the trend and scope in publications in the field of public procurement and draws attention to emerging concerns and critical issues of neglect requiring research attention in the journal.

Intellectual structure and publication pattern in International Journal of Advertising: a bibliometric analysis during 1982–2019

International Journal of Advertising (IJA) publishes research on marketing communications. The journal is international in scope, presenting perspectives from academics, practitioners, and public policy makers. In the past 38 years of publishing, IJA has amassed a rich repository of management tenets pertaining to advertising. With the application of quantitative techniques, we analyze the evolution and growth of the journal and highlight its publication trend, citation structure, and authorship pattern. Furthermore, we acknowledge IJA’s prominent topics and its prolific contributors and their affiliations and track the evolution of advertising research in the journal. This study groups IJA articles into seven bibliographic clusters. In addition, by text mining in R, we compare the thematic layout of IJA’s clusters of articles. The study is primarily a retrospection of IJA’s 38 years but also shows the way forward for the journal.

Arabic Teaching and Learning Research in Non-Arabic-Speaking Countries: a Bibliometric Analysis

This study aims to explore the trajectory of Arabic language learning research in non-Arabic-speaking countries. The research method used is bibliometric analysis related to Arabic language learning in non-Arabic speaking countries. The data sources in this research are articles taken from the Scopus database using keywords such as Arabic Language Learning, Arabic Language Teaching, Arabic Language Education, and Arabic Language Teaching. We identified 108 relevant articles covering the period from 1970 to 2024. Our analysis encompasses various dimensions including yearly publication trends, authorship patterns, country affiliations, productive institutions, and prolific publishers within this thematic domain. Further insights were gathered through sophisticated analytical techniques, specifically employing VosViewer software for data visualization and thematic cluster analysis. a significant increase in research activity related to Arabic Learning within non-Arabic speaking countries, particularly evident over the past decade. Notably, Indonesia, with the world's largest Muslim population, emerges as the foremost contributor in terms of article productivity, closely followed by Malaysia and the United States. The pivotal role of the Gema Online Journal of Language Studies, affiliated with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, underscores its significance as a platform shaping scholarly discourse in this field and standing as the most productive institution. Additionally, our analysis identifies Ritonga, M., as the most productive author, while Shah P.M. and Yusri, G. emerge as influential contributors within this scholarly domain. These findings provide valuable insights into the evolving landscape of Arabic language learning research in non-Arabic speaking contexts. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi lintasan penelitian pembelajaran bahasa Arab di negara non-Arab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis bibliomterik terkait dengan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di negara non-Arab. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini merupakan artikel-artikel yang diambil dari database Scopus dengan memanfaatkan kata kunci seperti pembelajaran bahasa Arab, pengajaran bahasa Arab, pendidikan bahasa Arab, dan pengajaran bahasa Arab. Penulis mengidentifikasi 108 artikel terkait yang mencakup periode 1970 hingga 2024. Analisis mencakup berbagai dimensi termasuk tren publikasi tahunan, pola kepenulisan, afiliasi negara, lembaga produktif, dan penerbit produktif dalam domain tematik ini. Pemanfaatan perangkat lunak VosViewer digunakan untuk visualisasi data dan analisis klaster tematik. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam aktivitas penelitian terkait pembelajaran bahasa Arab di negara- non-Arab, khususnya selama dekade terakhir. Indonesia, dengan populasi muslim terbesar di dunia, muncul sebagai kontributor utama dalam hal produktivitas artikel, diikuti oleh Malaysia dan Amerika Serikat. Peran penting Gema Online Journal of Language Studies, yang berafiliasi dengan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, menggarisbawahi pentingnya sebagai platform yang membentuk wacana ilmiah di bidang ini dan berdiri sebagai institusi paling produktif. Research hotspots and emerging trends in MicroRNA therapy for neuropathic pain: a bibliometric analysis (2009–2024)

ObjectiveThis study systematically investigates the evolving trends, research hotspots, and future directions in microRNA-based therapy for neuropathic pain (NP) through bibliometric analysis.MethodsWe extracted literature related to microRNA interventions in NP from the Web of Science Core Collection database, spanning January 2009 to December 2024. A comprehensive analysis was conducted on publication trends, authorship patterns, institutional collaborations, national contributions, journal preferences, co-citation networks, and keyword clusters.ResultsThe final analysis included 250 articles, showing a steady increase in publications over the past 15 years. China was the most productive country, while the United States demonstrated the highest scientific influence. The top three institutions by publication count were Xuzhou Medical University, Nanjing Medical University, and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College. Pain was identified as the most co-cited journal. Keyword analysis revealed “differential expression” with the strongest citation burst intensity, while “peripheral nerve injury,” “mechanical allodynia,” and “proliferation” emerged as recent high-frequency terms.ConclusionIn the field of microRNA therapy for neuropathic pain, investigations into peripheral nerve injury mechanisms, neuroinflammation regulation, and miRNA differential expression patterns have been identified as current research hotspots. Emerging frontiers are now shifting toward three strategic directions: (1) development of targeted delivery systems, (2) precision modulation of nociceptive circuits, and (3) individualized therapeutic strategies. Collectively, miRNAs demonstrate significant potential as innovative NP treatments. While clinical translation of miRNA-based therapies remains a critical research priority, key challenges persist in optimizing target specificity (particularly sequence homology discrimination among miRNA isoforms) and ensuring biocompatibility of delivery platforms.
