Abstract
This paper is a systematic review of the Literature on the general parameters of bulging tube failure. Generally, boiler tubes show bulging tube failure in hot temperature zone in thermal power plants. Unpredictable tube failure affects the utility boiler's effectiveness in power plants due to uncertainty in utility boilers. In this report, the actual circumstances of battling the elevated temperature long-term overheating and short-term overheating and talking over corrosion to the boiler surface. The literature survey and the real-time data obtained from two thermal power stations; highlight that boiler tube failure occurs due to different causes. Overheating and creep deformation are the most prominent causes of bulging tube failure. This article may help understand the leading causes of the bulging tube failure placed in the hot temperature zone and its factors.
