Abstract

This resource unit, comprising ideas for teaching black rhetoric, is suggested as a framework about which a semester course or a shorter course could be built. In smaller colleges and universities where it would not be advisable to offer a full semester course, these ideas could serve as a part of a larger unit on inter cultural communication. Many of the approaches can also be applied to considerations of the rhetoric of other American minority groups: Orientals, Puerto Ricans, Mexican Americans, American Indians, and others.
