Abstract
Cross sections for vibrational excitation of CO 2 ( n 1 n 2λ n 3) in collisions with O( 3P) are calculated for relative collision energies of 1.0–6.0 eV by the vibrational close-coupling rotational infinite order sudden method. Results are compared with recently published quasiclassifical trajectory results.
