Abstract

In this paper we consider the question of signaling security information in JPEG-2000 codestream. Signaling is the key to interoperability in the JPEG-2000 part 8 (JPSEC) perspective. The scheme is backward compatible with the JPEG-2000 part 1 standard, scalable for complex images and flexible. The scheme is detailed in the case of selective encryption and the impact of signaling information is discussed.
