Abstract
Abstract This paper presents a practical method for the determination of the onset of wind induced Flutter instabilities for long span bridges. The method is illustrated by presenting the results of analyses performed on suspension bridge structures subjected to aerodynamic loading. Finally, the paper presents and discusses the significance of the results obtained to date.
