Abstract
Power distribution units (PDUs) plays a crucial role in the electrical system of aircraft. A novel portable test equipment for measuring the circuit switching performance of PDUs is designed. Some troubleshooting of contactors in field are diagnosed with the help of coil current and contact voltage waveforms. In addition, the switching characteristics and on-load performance of PDU are statistically analyzed. The historical measurement data could be saved and tracked back, but also the prognostic services are provided through internet.
