Abstract
Stimuli: Landolt rings with eight different orientations. Exposure duration was varied between 10 and 150 ms. A single stimulus appeared at one of eight possible locations and was postmasked. Independently, we also varied the negative Weber contrast of the stimuli between .033 and .13. Task: Participants identified the orientation of the Landolt ring, only responding when fairly certain to have seen the stimulus.
